About:

Stellaria Entertainment & Production is proud to announce its “Aerialatrical Experience,” the world's only aerial musical theatre class culminating into a professionally produced show at the Louden Nelson Community Center in Santa Cruz.

All rehearsals will take place at The 418 Project in downtown Santa Cruz. Teen/adults rehearse on Tuesdays from 5 to 7 pm, and children rehearse on Wednesdays from 3 to 5 pm.

Feeling generous? The production crew has recently launched a Go Fund Me page (located here: https://www.gofundme.com/aerialatrical-launch…) to help off-set the amount of costs and overhead. If we can accurately fund this project, the Aerialatrical Experience, we would love to contribute to more substantial charities involving children, cancer awareness and women's causes in the future.

During fall 2018 we're taking 16 interested children 11 years and younger, and teen/adults 12 years and older (32 performers total) for two different shows being performed on Friday, December 14 and Saturday, December 15, 2018. Interested performers have the chance to register or inquire below.

Adults Program:

Stellaria is welcoming interested teen/adult actors, performers, potential performers and enthusiasts into this unique opportunity. Advanced thru beginners in all things aerial, dance and/or theatre are encouraged to register.

Built into the price of the class is a complimentary 4-pack of aerial and/or pole classes at a nearby aerial/pole studio. Students will have a consultation meeting with Aerial Arts Santa Cruz founder and former owner, Jeanette Bent, to assess which studio location, apparatus and training regime suits the student (it is not mandatory to participate in aerial or pole acrobatics to be a part of the production). Any extra talents including acting, singing and dancing are all wonderfully accepted, and students will have a chance to work on these skills during rehearsals.

All rehearsals will take place at The 418 Project in downtown Santa Cruz and will be on Tuesdays from 5 to 7 pm. The rehearsals will be facilitated by Director Melanie Camras, First A.D. Kendall Argast-Watson, Producer Jeanette Bent, Designer Kristin Wyatt and when needed, Master Rigger Caitlin Lackey. For more information on the production crew, please see bios below.

The fall 2018 show is a coming-of-age story about a tom-boy way ahead of her time. She will make waves and shatter expectations of what it means traditionally to be a girl.

Students are expected to participate in all rehearsals prior to the show (if there are conflicts, we can arrange that ahead of time; illness and emergencies are an exception). Students should also plan to meet with bookwriter and producer Jeanette Bent once at the beginning of the rehearsal process and once near the end (this may be during a rehearsal), as well as continue training at a local studio if they plan to perform aerial and/or pole acrobatics. A $100 budget has been built into the price of the class, so students may participate in approximately 4 aerial/pole classes (each studio ranges in price slightly, so this is an approximation). If students wish to continue their training, they may do so at their own expense.

Stellaria promises to deliver an original, entertaining and spectacular final performance.

Tickets to the show will be available one month prior, and will cost $10/ticket.

We sincerely hope that you can join us on this epical music-aerial extravaganza!

The fall 2018 show will be a stylized trip into the night via everyday furniture through a wondrous mystery of what lies unseen. More than friendly dust bunnies, sour candies and sock monsters thrive within this retro realm.
